A QR code, short for "Quick Response code," is a two-dimensional barcode that contains information that can be quickly and easily scanned and read by devices, such as smartphones and QR code readers. They work by storing information such as a Link, or specific data which can be read by the scanner. In the instance of TailTag, we store a unique link that related to your Pets Microchip Number.
2.Q: What can I do if the tag breaks?
The TailTag Smart Tags are made form a solid plastic and should be extremely durable and weatherproof. If you have any concerns about your tag, please contact us and a member of the team will be happy to help. We do offer a lifetime guarantee on the quality and printing of our tags.
3.Q: Can I pause my subscription?
Yes you can pause your subscription at anytime by logging into your account and editing your subscription payment date. Please note: while your subscription is paused TailTag will not be active and should your tag be scanned, the finder will see that the Tag is not active.
4.Q: Can I choose what information is shown once my pet is scanned?
OF course you can! Withing your TailTag settings you can select which pieces of information you want to show to someone in the event they find your pet. You can hide things like, your name, Mobile number, Address, Email address and other specifics of your pets details. We do recommend that you have your contact information showing at all times.
5.Q: Do i still need a Tag with my details scribed to stay compliant with the law?
YES, to remain compliant with the law, you would need a tag with your name, number and address scribed onto the back. When you set up your account, you can opt to swap your tag for a scribed one with a QR code, or we can send you an additional disk.
